What defines this issue of the College Heights Herald is the dorm issue that students across campus were facing during its production. With the faulty construction of a number of the dorms, some of them were deemed uninhabitable, resulting in the rehoming of many students over the summer. This is the design and layout of Western Kentucky University's College Heights Herald's first issue of volume 101.

This newsmagazine won First Place in Best in Show for Design at the fall 2025 ACP (Associated Collegiate Press) convention.
